IDC'S Top Brass Commends Winning Athletes

The IDC Administration acknowledged the excellent performance of its varsity athletes in the recently concluded 43rd Iloilo PRISAA Meet.  The administrative staff was led by Dr. Rolando Padilla -Chairman, Dr. Alejandro Rivera Jr. - President and Dr. Ramulfo Zapanta - Vice Pres. for Student Affairs and Sports Development.  Other members of IECI board present were Dr. Gil Villanueva and Christine Aguirre-Trespeces.  Joining the group were Mrs. Ma. Elena Alejandra Rivera-Isada-(Executive Officer for Business and Finance), Dr. Roberto Lozada-(Sports Coordinator), Mrs. Marianita Acuña, Mrs. Rosdilla Facto and varsity coaches - Mr. Stephen Patrona (Volleyball Men), Ms. Joy Robinson (Badminton), Mr. Janley Patrona (Volleyball Women) and Mr. Ronnie Malijan (Karatedo).
            The school won in the following events:  Team CHAMPIONS in Volleyball Men, Volleyball Women, Badminton Men, Badminton Women and Karatedo Women.  Other events: Swimming Men - 8 golds, 8 Bronze, Karatedo M & W- 5 golds, 6 Silvers, 3 bronzes,  Table Tennis women - Silver.
            After the sumptuous lunch at Tatoy's Manokan, the athletes had a planning session with the sports coordinator on how to improve the performance in the forthcoming Western Visayas Regional PRISAA Meet in Antique first week of February 2009.  "Nami diri sa Doctor's kay grabe ang suporta sa varsity players" the athletes said who vowed to work hard to bring more honors to the school.
